First of all, congrats on the show man. How has the tour been so far?
Tour’s been great man. We sold out the O2 in London, we did Montpellier and Woo Hah today.
Which one did you like best?
Definitely this one.
How would you compare it to shows in the USA? In terms of the crowd.
Well, it’s crazy over here and it’s crazy over there. You kinda get the similar energy.
When you’re travelling around in Europe, do you get to see something of the cities?
Mostly we were just hopping from town to town, so we make the next show in time.
How did you like playing in Gent last year?
Gent was tight, I remember there was both older and younger people there so it was like a mix. And we killed that show.
Do you feel things have changed since you were in Europe last year?
The fanbase definitely grew. A lot of people knew the songs. It was crazy, I didn’t even expect that.
It’s been 2 years since you dropped Nostalgic 64, any plans on dropping a new album?
King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2055. You can expect that later this year.
I thought the videoclip of Ice Age was quite cool, did you guys work that out in detail or was it more like improvisation?
No improvisation, we planned everything. We thought about the house, how we wanted it to look. A friend of mine took care of the private jet.
Which tune did you enjoy doing most of your last EP?
Ultimate. I reached Super Saiyan 2 on that one.
Have you seen the new Dragon Ball Z movie yet?
Yeah it was cool. I liked it when Goku went Super Saiyan 4 but that was like the GT series. This movie took place after the Kid Buu Saga so they introduced Lord Beerus and everything but it was good.
If there’s one Dragon Ball Z character you could be, who would that be?
Goku. Not because he’s the main guy but for what he represents, obviously he came from a race that people would deem as barbaric. Same goes for me, I came from a place that people would call gangster or whatever. He values loyalty and has a lot of energy to give. Also he had a brother that died, I had a brother that died. My brother did take no shit, and I’m pretty sure Raditz did take no shit either. Goku fighting his brother made me realize that I could be at least stronger than him.
When do you think you’re fully accomplished as an artist?
The moment I’ll feel accomplished, is the moment that I’ll put out one last album that is crazy as fuck to a point where I don’t even have to rap anymore. Where I can do whatever the fuck I want.
Where do you get your inspiration from, do you have a standard ritual?
It just happens. When I feel it, I start writing. It’s like a flash. Since when I was a kid, I always wanted to be an artist. I didn’t know I was gonna turn into this type of artist, but I ended up becoming it still.
I heard we have to wrap it up so I got one last question for you. You just got 20 and I’m becoming 20 tonight, how did u celebrate?
I just chill. It’s just another day, getting older. What is age, these days? Happy birthday man.
